Looking for a General Contractor or Construction Manager (or equivalent experience) to help us manage our home remodel. Perfect for someone retired or working part-time who is looking for a great project. GC license strongly preferred.
Project: Full remodel with addition.
Responsibilities:
- Help owner-builder create project timeline and order all materials
- Help owner-builder identify and retain qualified, licensed and insured subcontractors
- Help owner-builder oversee and manage construction project from start to finish
- Help owner-builder make sure project progresses on time and on budget
- Monitor progress and quality of work
- Authorize change orders and payments for work completed
- Ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and safety standards and attend City inspections
- Help keep job site clean and secure, handle all project deliveries and other management duties as the main point of contact for the project
Qualifications:
- GC License (or able to renew if expired)
- Proven experience as a GC or Construction Manager or similar role
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and materials
- Proficient in reading and interpreting plans and construction documents
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to effectively manage
- Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
