Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Shop Manager to join our team at Gary’s Automotive Service. This role is crucial to ensuring the smooth operation of our shop and maintaining the high-quality standards our customers have come to expect. As a well-established automotive service provider with 24 years of experience, we are looking for a leader who is passionate about the automotive field and dedicated to delivering exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all shop activities and operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
Supervise and provide guidance to automotive technicians, ensuring work aligns with their skill sets.
Perform diagnostics using the latest equipment (Snap-on tools) to assess vehicle issues.
Recommend appropriate repairs and delegate tasks to technicians.
Oversee repair jobs to ensure quality control standards are met.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience in the automotive field with strong technical and diagnostic skills.
Familiarity with current automotive technologies and repair processes.
Must own a complete set of tools required for the job.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team.
Strong problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
