Pierre Landscape is looking for a Project Assistant to join our San Marcos Team. The Project Assistant must be a flexible and adaptable team-player, driven, proactive and a self-starter who has strong communication and client service skills.

Duties:

Support Project Manager in planning, scheduling, supervising and coordinating landscaping projects

Reviewing Submittals & Take offs

Creation of change orders with supervision from PM.

Working with Project Manager to ensure the labor needs are being met.

Monthly completion of subcontracts and compliance forms

Reviewing project budgets and observing budgetary guidelines to ensure reasonableness of estimates and prudent use of resources in conjunction with Project Manager.

Running weekly labor reports on projects to verify budget vs actual (hours and dollars)

Working closely with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors in regard to project coordination.

Preparing RFIs, client letters and documentation at the direction of the Project Manager.

Working with the field team to ensure services are delivered according to schedule and contract specifications, on budget with a high standard of quality.

Documentation control - submittals, Change Orders, soil samples, T & M tickets, and close out documents.

Daily check ins with the field crews.

Handling Yard Assistant/Driver Schedule

Other activities, duties, and responsibilities in relation to office assistance (assisting walk ins, front office duties, onboarding, safety training)

Qualifications:

Two years of college education from accredited degree program in Landscape, Construction, or relevant education

Bachelor's Degree preferred Construction Management, Landscape Architecture or equivalent

Experience in Landscape construction preferred

Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team

Demonstrate initiative and desire to learn

Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing (English and Spanish)

Proficient with computer applications, data entry, and Microsoft suite of applications

Basic understanding of scheduling programs, desired.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel

Experience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and Procore is a plus.

Must have a strong work ethic and good communication skills.

Experience working for a Landscape contractor is helpful.
