As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Window Coverings Estimator Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our sales team and ensuring clients receive accurate and timely estimates for their window-covering projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing accurate and detailed estimates for window covering projects, including but not limited to blinds, shades, shutters, and drapery.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and specifications to ensure estimates meet or exceed client expectations.
- Utilize estimating software and tools to calculate dimensions, product requirements, and cost estimates.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain product pricing and availability, ensuring up-to-date and competitive estimates.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of past projects, estimates, and actual costs to continuously improve accuracy and efficiency in estimating.
- Provide administrative support to the sales team, including preparing proposal documents, project summaries, and follow-up communication with clients.
- Stay informed on the latest industry trends, product offerings, and pricing strategies to enhance the estimating process.
- Attend team meetings to discuss project updates, challenges, and strategies for improvement.
- Assist with General Office Duties when needed (Filing, organizing, updating, etc.)
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma is required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business, finance, construction management) is preferred.
- Previous experience in an estimating, administrative, or sales support role is highly desirable.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with estimating software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Neat handwriting.
- Knowledge of window covering products and installation processes is a plus.
