Billing Administrator

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Billing Administrator in a busy Construction office located in Lakeside, CA.

This position is a multi-faceted position, accomplishing a variety of tasks. Must have high level of professionalism and discretion, general business office skills, computer skills, and ability to prioritize is key. Knowledge of accounting - payables, receivables, collections and releases are required. You must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize workload and meet deadlines, in a fast-paced environment.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

All facets of Construction Billing, e.g. Progressive Billing, Payment Applications, Waivers/ Lien Releases.

Verifying contractual compliance- reviewing contract to assure setup is accurate.

Locate, monitor and notify customers of overdue accounts

Maintaining quality relationships with customers, contractors/clients

Generate specific reports for project management

Assist with day-to-day processes and help to implement new policies and procedures

Skills and Abilities:

Proficient with minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or construction office environments

Advanced verbal/written communications and listening skills

Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment

Ability to de-escalate and resolve concerns, multitask, and work with attention to detail

Ability to perform duties with urgency and deliver quality, accurate and thorough work

Demonstrate dependability and working productively throughout

Willingness to adapt and accept additional work assignments as needed

Required Experience:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications: Outlook, Word, Excel

Experience using construction billing forms/software and editing documents

Strong written communication skills in drafting letters, emails, documentation, etc.

Strong verbal skills when interacting in person and by phone.

Outstanding organizational skills, excellent time management, and high level of accuracy/attention to detail.

The following is a plus but not a must.

Foundation software
