Rehabilitation Care Coordination is a woman owned small business; we are a private nurse life care planning & care management company based in San Diego. We have been serving patients with catastrophic injuries throughout Southern California for over forty years. The company specializes in comprehensive Case Management and Life Care Planning including coordination of services, cost containment, discharge planning, integration of services and assessment of short- and long-term goals

We are looking for a full-time on-site/in-office administrative assistant. The ideal candidate is someone who is a dedicated team player who enjoys creating a care plan to help patients with catastrophic injuries achieve their best possible outcome. This is an opportunity to use your experience, expertise and skills to improve the lives of patients and continue their development. This position is for in-office here in San Diego, remote work will not be offered.

Responsibilities

Perform administrative duties such as:

answering phone calls,

scheduling appointments & meetings for Staff & Patients,

requesting medical records,

confirming appointments,

preparing patient files,

Photocopying, scanning & faxing of documents.

Filing documents and records.

Learning data entry for patients’ service provider.

Assist billing specialist in day to day matters as well as serve as her back up.

Scheduling transportation for all patients.

Taking initial notes on potential new cases.

Assisting staff with pickups and other necessary errands.

Other duties as requested by CEO and/or Case Managers.

This position primarily involves sitting for extended periods at a desk while using a computer, phone, and other office equipment with occasional standing, walking and reaching.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience as an administrative assistant, preferably with a medical or med-legal company.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written & communications skills.

Ability to prioritize workload and handle multiple responsibilities in a fast pace environment.

Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access as well as the ability to effectively research on the Internet.

Experience with Billing/TimeSlips/Collections a plus

Highly motivated and able to project an image of professionalism.

Fluency in Spanish and other languages preferred.

THIS POSITION IS IN-OFFICE AND IS NOT REMOTE
