The Office Assistant serves as the first point of contact for matters related to the administration of the company. The assistant reports to HR, as well as supporting the rest of the LO team. The position serves with incoming inquiries as well as the day-to-day operations and running errands out in the field throughout the week. Our company provides support and guidance for adults with developmental disabilities who have the opportunity to live in the community independently or semi independently. Our mission is to assist our clients on their journey through an independent life. This position is Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Office Assistant Responsibilities:
Handling incoming calls and other communications
Manage and update the filing system
Recording information as needed
Greeting clients and visitors
Updating paperwork, maintaining documents and word processing
Help organize and maintain office common areas
Performing general office clerk duties and errands
Coordinating events as necessary
Maintaining supply inventory
Maintaining office equipment as needed
Create, maintain, and enter information into database as needed
Aiding with client care as needed (taking them to doctor’s appointments, cash their checks, etc.)
Performs other duties as assigned.
Office Assistant Requirements:
High school diploma or Associates Degree.
Experience as an office assistant or in a related field.
Ability to write clearly and help with word and excel processing as needed.
Warm personality with strong communication skills.
Ability to work well under limited supervision.
Great communication skills.
Have a valid driver license.
