McNulty Glass is searching for a bid manager/office worker to work with our Senior Estimator and office staff to monitor, manage, and maintain communications for all incoming/outgoing (email/phone) requests for commercial and residential estimates for glass installation, removal, replacement; shower units, storefronts, and all other glass and metal related construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare Bids and Follow Up for Estimator:

Reviews all the bids in the queue that are viable for our estimators.

Request plans, map out the jobs, and communicate with Estimator, move from queue to a pending Job Folder

Communication is a key skill both oral and written.

Create proposals from estimator and submit to customer

Follow up is required on all estimates/proposals submitted to customer for signatures

Monitor proposals/contracts that are completed

Create a scope of work form from signed proposal/contract

Create Job Folder for Proposal Documents and Records

Create pending job folders for the Proposal/Estimate per job/customer

All supporting documents, files, email and notes are placed in pending job folder

Any other forms needed for pending job folder

Help with any field work should the need arise, work with existing crews to fill in onsite for big projects and urgent situations.

Receive deliverables in the warehouse each day, physically receiving materials for inventory and customer orders, both loose and on pallets

Qualifications:

Education, Training and Certifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred

Work Experience:

Minimum 3 years’ experience within the construction industry

Technical Knowledge:

Knowledge of Glass Industry a big plus, comparable industries are satisfactory as well

Understanding of construction estimating plans or blueprints

Transferable Skills:

Interpersonal skills

Communication skills both written and oral required

Confidence in your abilities to learn and grasp new techniques both in the office and on jobsites

Proficient with various word processing, spreadsheet, and common PC/MAC programs

Abilities:

Demonstrate professionalism on the phone, with clients and with coworkers

Have a sense of urgency to meet deadlines

Multi-task and complete priorities effectively and timely

Accomplish goals in a team environment with minimal supervision

Attention to detail is crucial

Possess a positive “can do” attitude

Be Creative and look outside the box for efficient and cost saving measures

Knowledge of tools - both hand type and power apparatuses

Working Conditions:

Minimal Overtime as required.

Must comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements.

Salary: Varies - Commensurate with experience, willing to train the right candidate that possesses competent skills related to this type of work

Schedule:

8 hour shift

Day shift

Monday to Friday

This position is 90% administrative and 10% skilled laborer, looking for a candidate that can move on hands and knees with ease, a modicum of substantial lifting with a variety of fragile materials
