Growing electronic contract manufacturer located in Carlsbad is seeking a Q.C. Receiving/ In-process Inspectors with AOI Machine Operating experience for 1st shift and 2nd Shift.

Quality Control Specialist is responsible for performing inspections using automated inspection equipment, such as scanning components on primary and secondary sides of the circuit assemblies or performing inspections of individual components. The Quality Control Specialist will identify defects during the inspection process and assume responsibility for rejecting and acceptance of the quality of the product workmanship.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Programs Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine and performs daily visual inspection of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) assemblies on AOI machines to pass or fail product based on customer specifications and company quality standards.

Identifies electronic components, through color coding (RGB color distribution on solder), special characteristics, polarity and part numbering.

Monitor manufacturing surface mount process.

Performs first article inspections.

Follows IPC 610 standards, identifies defects, and reports to management immediately.

Logs jobs in and out of department.

Follows procedures, work instructions and travelers consistently.

Follows production list to prioritize workload.

Transports product to other areas via trays and carts.

May perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

· Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills

. Receiving Inspector must have experience with RMAs

.In-Process Inspector must have experience with AOI & Xray machines

· Ability to interpret blueprints, procedural manuals and instructions written in English

· High School Diploma or GED

· Must be able to work independently and able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions

· Proficiency with computer skills

· Must be detailed and quality oriented

· Self-driven and able to communicate effectively

· Ability to use inspection and measuring equipment (i.e., calipers, micrometers, magnification, tape measure, etc.)

· Certification, or on the job training of IPC 610/ IPC 620 standards

· Preferable knowledge of ISO 9001/ ISO13485/ US FDA QSR

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to achieve goals
