Manufacturing Facility in San Diego has an immediate openign for a Manufacturing Operator.

The Manufacturing Operator is responsible for filling product containers and final inspection prior to shipping. This is a seven day a week, 24-hour function. Scheduled on 8-hour shifts, with occasional overtime work extended to 12-hour shifts. This position requires a high level of self-management, punctuality, good attendance, and the ability to adjust to a variety of assignments throughout the shift. The employee must be able to perform job duties with minimal direct supervision and is required to follow an established performance protocol in meeting customary work goals.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Manually fills containers with product and stages product on pallets for shipping.

Operates product screen and magnet units to protect product from adulteration or foreign matter.

Completes pass down sheets to provide production/packaging information for the next shift.

Conforms to company's various products and labeling practices.

Maintains accurate records via manual batch sheets and SAP and EBS data-based record keeping systems.

Demonstrates a high level of attention to detail in these tasks to record information concerning product quality as well as monitoring inventory.

Demonstrates effective teamwork behavior, promotion of process efficiency, and effectively communicate safety and procedural issues with coworkers and supervisor.

Has ability to perform under conditions of continuous physical activity in the manual transfer of product.

Requires continuously performing all duties under conditions that require adherence to safety standards.

Requires knowledge of all environmental requirements and environmental permits for this work area.

Responsible for regular housekeeping of the work area consistent with the company's cGMP Policy.

Operates high speed blenders and must be able to follow proper safety procedures when cleaning blenders and on bake-outs.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Availability to work over time, weekends and Holidays.

Possesses basic mathematics and English language reading skills appropriate with the scope of the position.

Possession of a valid California State driver’s license and ability to drive a stick shift is desirable.

Basic computer competency required.

Prior employment experience in a manufacturing or warehouse position is desirable.

Prior forklift experience with the ability to pass forklift certification.

Selected candidates will be required to join IUOE as part of their employment.
