Outdoor Elements is an industry leader with an outstanding portfolio of design and locally manufactured Louvered Patio Covers located in San Diego soon to relocate to North County in April 2024. Our manufacturing company is looking for a full time experienced NC Operator who has experience running a variety of NC machines and help to enhance the productivity of our organization. The successful candidate will inspect machinery, load material, perform quality checks and monitor machine output. If you are a skilled NC Operator with 2+ years' experience working for a manufacturing business, we encourage you to submit an application for this position.
Responsibilities:
Perform machining tasks such as drilling, cutting, and shaping materials
Program and set up machines to produce parts according to specifications
Package finished products for shipment or further processing
Assemble components and perform quality checks to ensure product integrity
Translate the requirements of detailed part drawings into measurements for production
Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on projects
Ensure that every machine procedure is done in accordance with the strict guidelines of the company
Inspect the work area and machines that were used during the day prior to leaving at the end of each shift
Attend and actively participate in training classes and safety sessions
Minimum Skill Requirements:
Solid understanding of mechanical principles and knowledge of manufacturing processes
Small/Large part fabrication
Experience driving a forklift
Experience with Tool Change
Ability to Measure
Proven history of working with gauges and Calipers
Must possess strong basic math skills
Welding experience preferred.
Secondary Desirables Skills:
Light assembly
Carpentry
Shipping & Receiving
Additional Duties
Standard shop upkeep/organization.
Fulfillment of tasks needed within the shop/inventory room
Minor errands to vendor locations for material pickups
Able to lift 70lbs
This position includes working while standing for long periods of time, up to 8 hours per day.
Our manufacturing facilities will be relocating to Escondido, CA in April 2024. This position will be based out of Escondido; however training will take place in our current facilities in Kearny Mesa. Candidate must be willing to train in Kearny Mesa until the move in April 2024

Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
