SUMMARY

The Electronics Technician will be responsible developing processes and procedures for the electronic devices utilized in the manufacturing processes. This includes schematics, wiring diagrams, hardware layouts, wire harness drawings and any other documentation needed to successfully assemble Creative Electron products with the aim to improve manufacturing efficiency.

This position also requires close interaction with the Software Department as is necessary to implement programming changes and general system troubleshooting both for Manufacturing and Service. Design and customize specific hardware requirements for custom applications.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

● Experience using CAD software for electrical design

● Ability to consistently produce clean, efficient electrical schematics and work instructions for electronic sub-systems

● Ability to integrate new electronic hardware components

● Ability to troubleshoot and upgrade existing hardware and software

● Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

● Excellent in research, design, development, and testing of operating systems-level software and CAD tools essential for electrical documentation

● Collaborative mindset and willingness to recommend and execute improvements

● Eagerness to explore new products and features that will add value to the product and provide implementation schedules

● Ability to work individually or with other developers

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Provide guidance and direction to Manufacturing on electronic best practices

· Ensure Manufacturing is trained properly on electronics safety and assembly

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

● Associate degree in electronics design or 3-5 years experience in an electrical design field

● Working knowledge of electrical design best practices

● Experience with software design and development in a test-driven environment

● Experience using CAD software to create wiring diagrams and schematics

● Experience using multiple types of sensors, power supplies, relays, and safety circuits

● Troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment

● Ability and willingness to learn new technologies

● Skilled in successful time management

● Experience with PLC programming a plus

LANGUAGE AND MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Effective ability to communicate orally or in written form effectively with co-management, internal and external customers.

REASONING ABILITY

Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT:

● Ability to crouch, kneel, or bend while installing or troubleshooting electronics

● Regularly perform repetitive tasks

● Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
