Summary
Under general supervision with detailed instructions the individual will perform a variety of electromechanical assembly tasks. Electro-Mechanical Assemblers are responsible for building and assembling complex units such as circuit boards to IPC standards, cable harnesses, power supplies, modules, chassis, panels, and electronic systems and sub-assemblies.
Essential Functions
Build and assemble various units such as cable and harnesses assemblies, power supply assemblies, modules, chassis, panels, and electronic systems and sub-assemblies
Solder electronic sensor, connectors, and components to circuit boards.
Build and assemble cable and wire harness assemblies to IPC-620 criteria
Read and interpret drawings, diagrams, blueprints and/or specifications
Document all worked operations in the ERP system
Perform rework/repair
Clean parts using prescribed cleaning method
Perform quality control checks at specified points during the assembly process
Mark and label product according to the work instructions and drawings
Work in a safe manner and in accordance with established operating procedures and practices
Education, Experience, and Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential functions listed above.
Requires previous related experience of at least three years
Contract manufacturing experience preferred
Basic computer skills including ability to work within ERP system
Understanding and/or certified IPC 610, 620 and J-STD-001 criteria
Familiar with various hand tools including crimpers, strippers, screwdrivers, torque wrenches, soldering irons, taps, dremels , bench saws, vices, and power drills
Must communicate in English and understand verbal and written instructions
