Job Summary The Legal Operations Associate / Associate Paralegal supports corporate legal functions with a focus on entity management, governance, and documentation. This role assists in forming, maintaining, and dissolving various legal entities, coordinating filings, and preparing corporate documents. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of corporate legal experience, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with legal systems and Microsoft Office tools. A paralegal certificate or equivalent qualifications in legal studies is strongly preferred.Education & CertificationsBachelors Degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association or any applicable state codes strongly preferred.Experience2+ years directly relevant corporate/subsidiary governance paralegal experience.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist senior paralegals with all aspects of entity management including forming, dissolving, and maintaining domestic legal entities (LLCs, LPs, C-Corps, REITs), and corporate drafting, including resolutions, consents, certificates, charters, bylawsWorking knowledge of entity management systems and registered agent database (CSC preferred)Follows-up on delegated assignments (both internally and externally) and tracks to completionCoordinates execution and delivery of closing agreements.Works closely with and supports department members, including preparing documents for signature and mailing/filing/printing/scanningBecomes familiar with Fairfields information storage system and fulfils requests to obtain stored informationNotary (or willingness to obtain a notary certificate at Fairfields expense)Ability to remain poised/focused and thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environmentStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasksAbility to focus on details and produce high-quality work product under tight deadlinesAbility to adapt and reprioritize tasks in a changing environmentEmploys process-oriented thinkingExcellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated, highly analytical, quick learner, anticipates needs and takes steps to addressDesire/willingness to take-on new and changing duties/tasks over timeExercises discretion with confidential informationAdvanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel) skillsOur Company:At Fairfield, we are proud to be a leader in the multifamily housing industry. This range reflects base rate only, and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses applicable to this position (if any).
