Eastridge Workforce Solutions is now hiring a Facilities Technician in the LA Jolla, CA area.
Position: Facilities Technician
Location: La Jolla
Schedule: 6 AM - 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $24/hour
Forklift Experience required (valid DL)
Steel toe required
Onsite Interviews will be requested with the hiring manager
The Facilities Technician Assistant, under the direction of the Facilities Manager, will perform a wide variety of general facilities tasks in support of the efforts of the Facilities Department to maintain the facility operations and grounds. Main job duties will be maintaining the institute's Nitrogen Dewars by Filling, Transporting, and exchangingDewars. Must be able to get certified on Forklift operating. Must be able to push Dewars inside and outside of buildings.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Filling, Transporting, Hook-up of Nitrogen Dewar Tanks and Locators.
Daily Checks of Nitrogen liquid levels of all Nitrogen Dewars and Locators.
Moves equipment, freezers, furniture, and laboratory items.
Perform inspections on equipment used in Nitrogen systems.
Assist Facilities Department as directed by Facilities Manager. and Supervisor.
Assist Facilities team members in the woodshop.
Assist Facilities team members in the break down and set up of tables and chairs
for functions at the Institute.
REQUIRED:
Preferred 2 years related experience in general maintenance or construction.
OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND/OR ABILITIES:
Must have a valid CA. state driver’s license.
Must be able to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds and be able to push Nitrogen Dewars in and out of buildings.
Must be able to get Forklift Certified.
Must have basic computer skills.
Work independently as well as in a team environment
