Adult Residential Facility Manager / Group Homes.

Family-owned Group Homes Business. currently operating 7 residential facilities. Due to our rapid expansion we are seeking to hire a Group Home Manager in East County. Our population consists of adults with intellectual disabilities ranging in age from 18 to 59. We facilitate/ attend medical appointments, regulatory meetings, and behavioral health appointments. This job can be demanding/difficult and requires flexibility as the hours reflect on meeting the needs of the clients. Our homes are in residential areas and our goal is to make sure our clients are living in a safe, healthy environment.

This position is a supervisory position overseeing residents and direct support professionals in a group homes residential program. This position is responsible for ensuring best practices, compliance with all state, federal, and agency standards as required for assigned services.

The successful applicant must be a team player with a positive attitude and demonstration of respect towards others. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with administrative superiors, group home residents, direct care staff, families, community agencies and groups, and a variety of service disciplines.

The successful applicant will oversee two homes to begin with.

Responsibilities:

The duties and responsibilities of the House Manager shall be:

Responsible for the overall daily operation of the facility and the overall quality of

daily program implementation, and facility management in the absence of the

Administrator.

Responsible for facilitating the implementation of the program plans developed by

the Administrator, including the coordination of daily activities.

Responsible for the direct supervision, care and training of all residents, including

assisting them in attending to their personal care and hygiene, as needed.

Responsible for supervising the self-administration of resident medications, per the

physician’s orders.

Responsible for assuring the care and supervision of residents in any emergency by

utilizing appropriate emergency measures, such as calling 911, the Police or fire

department, or other agencies.

Responsible for the provision of services to the residents required or identified by

their Individual Program Plans (IPP’s).

Responsible for ensuring the maintenance of daily written documentation,

including the accurate collection of data.

Shall be present and able to perform duties during all scheduled hours.

Provides supervision of Direct Support Professionals (DSP’s) to ensure the welfare

of the residents.

Assist the Administrator in completing Quarterly Reports.

Responsible for reporting all Special Incidents, allegations of consumer abuse, or

other emergencies.

Act as a role model for both DSP’s and consumers.

Other duties as assigned by the Licensee or Administrator.

The minimum qualifications of the House Manager are:

At least 12 months experience providing special services to individuals with a

developmental disability. In the absence of this, the facility will provide an addition

12-hours of training in the first 6-months of employment, or a total of 24-hours

training in the first year.

Attainment of at least 18 years of age, as verified by a current driver’s license, or

other government issued ID.

Possess a High School diploma or GED.

Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision

needed by residents, including the ability to communicate with them.

Knowledge of and ability to comply with applicable laws and regulations.

Shall be in good health as verified by a health screening, including a negative

tuberculosis test, and shall be physically, mentally, and occupationally capable of

performing assigned tasks.

Shall submit fingerprints and pass a criminal record clearance before employment

begins.

Requirements

Must have (DSP) part I and part 2- ARF Administrator License
