If you're unfamiliar, Neon Moon is a roadside bar in Winter Gardens that's independently owned and operated since opening in Fall of 2024. Weekdays are more of a laidback vibe with regulars socializing at the bar, playing pool, or enjoying darts on the patio. Weekends are a bit more lively with DJ's on Friday and Saturday nights and karaoke on Sunday evenings.
We're looking to fill at least two (2) part-time Guard Staff positions:
Weekdays - Monday-Thursday evenings.
Weekends - Friday & Saturday nights.

Role: Guard Staff
Job Summary:
The Guard Staff are responsible for taking reasonable steps to protect the safety of our guests, employees, and property. Guards enforce policies in compliance with ABC and Responsible Beverage Service. Guard Staff are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the venue, performing bussing duties as directed by the MOD, and assisting with band and entertainer load-ins and loadouts as directed by the MOD.
Guard Staff are typically the first person that our guests see and therefore, must greet guests in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner. Guards not only help maintain safety, but create a fun and welcoming environment by instilling hospitality and the values of Neon Moon.
Time Commitment:
Part-Time 15-30hrs/week.
Wages:
$20/hr + DOE. Plus tips.
Duties:
- In a friendly manner, manage admission to the premises by checking guests' identifications and compliance with the Neon Moon dress code and guest conduct policies.
- Monitor for, and take steps to prevent and control, guest conduct issues such as overconsumption of alcohol, rowdy conduct or belligerent behavior.
- Intervene in incidents involving guests acting in a rowdy or belligerent manner to protect all guests and employees, take control of guests involved in incidents, and remove those guests from the venue.
- In the event de-escalation is unsuccessful apprehend or evict violators from premises, using force only when necessary.
- Maintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shift.
- Have strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating manner.
- Report to MOD the daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Circulate among guests and employees to preserve order and protect property.
- Actively monitor and warn guests of conduct rules or violations, with a focus on de-escalation.
- Exhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conduct.
- Clean empty glassware on railings and tables, and clean napkins, paper and other items off the table and floor to keep the venue clean and organized.
- Monitor the restroom supplies and cleanliness to keep them clean and organized.
- Maintain a professional appearance and perform the position duties in a professional manner.
- Complete assigned duties as outlined in the Guard Staff checklist.
- Perform all assigned side-work quickly and efficiently.
- Properly set up and break down areas, including moving tables and chairs, before and after operating hours.
- Lock doors and windows of entrances and exits to secure establishment.
