Job Description:
Happy Medium Bar is seeking a reliable and experienced Line Cook to join our team. As a neighborhood bar known for its welcoming atmosphere and delicious food offerings, we are committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences to our patrons. Responsibilities:
-Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.
-Ensure food quality and presentation meets our high standards at all times.
-Work collaboratively with kitchen team members to expedite orders efficiently during peak hours.
-Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food preparation stations and equipment.
-Monitor and manage inventory levels, including ingredients and supplies, to minimize waste and ensure sufficient stock for daily operations.
-Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
-Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, rotating stock as needed.
-Follow instructions from the Head Chef and management team to fulfill special requests and accommodate dietary restrictions.
Qualifications:
-Proven experience as a Line Cook in a similar fast-paced kitchen environment.
-Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety procedures.
-Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure, maintaining composure during busy periods.
-Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and servers.
-Flexibility to work mornings and weekends, as our busiest times often coincide with brunch and weekend evenings.
-Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.
-Availability to work additional shifts and cover for colleagues as needed.
-Certification in food handling and sanitation (preferred).
