A Lead Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing high quality pizzas while also leading the team of Fox Point Farms Pizza. The role combines hands-on cooking with oversight of kitchen flow, cleanliness, and communication with FOH and/or event teams. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with both BOH and FOH, and adapting menus based on seasonal availability.
At Fox Point Farms, this role is also about being part of something different: a working farm, brewery, and community hub all in one place. The kitchen works closely with the farm team to use whatever’s fresh, and you’ll help shape pizzas and specials that reflect what’s growing and what’s happening on the property. From casual dinners to outdoor events, you’ll be part of creating food that feels connected to where we are.
Job Duties:
Prepare pizza dough, sauces, and toppings according to recipes and daily prep needs
Prepare and hand-stretch pizza dough, ensuring consistency and quality with each batch
Follow food safety standards and maintain a clean prep station throughout service
Cook pizzas in a wood-fired (or gas) oven using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
Lead the kitchen team during shifts, ensuring prep and cooking stay on track
Communicate with FOH staff and event coordinators about timing, menu items, or changes
Help train new kitchen staff or seasonal helpers on kitchen procedures and station setup
