We are a spiritual non-profit organization seeking a COOK. This is a full-time position located in Escondido, CA.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and the Assistant Supervisor with tasks that promote a work environment that operates efficiently, safely, and harmoniously.
Assist with special events and special requests. .
Assist with handling last minute requests.
Assist with receiving and storing all supplies (produce, dairy, household).
Volunteer coordination when Kitchen Supervisor Assistant is not present.
Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all areas of the Kitchen and bathrooms.
Other position-related tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Minimum six (6) months to one (1) year of hands-on experience in a kitchen.
ServSafe Food Handling Certificate required, refresher course every 3 years.
Valid California drivers' license and an excellent OMV record.
Physical stamina, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work a full shift on one's feet and maintain physical activity throughout the course of each shift.
Fluent in the English language.
Ability to take instruction well and follow detailed directions.
Ability to work harmoniously and safely with others in a restricted work space.
Capable of working within deadlines and time constraints.
High School graduate preferred.
