Position:
Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Manager in planning, coordinating and managing the store operations so as to control costs, meet targeted labor, maintain projected profit margins, meet or exceed sales goals and provide a pleasant and safe shopping experience for customers and a safe professional working environment for employees.
Duties Include:
Manage the Front of House day to day Operations
Responsible for all store departments and staff
Train and Manage Cashiers, Grocery Clerks, Produce, Liquor Buyer and all front of the house team members
Enforce all store policies and procedures
Manage front of the house labor
Capable of all opening and closing duties in the store
Oversee store operations in the absence of the store manager
Order, Track and Maintain Inventory of Grocery
Order, Track and Maintain Inventory of Frozen Grocery
Maintain and organize backstock in all grocery departments
Receive, inspect and merchandise all grocery deliveries.
Follow directives of the President, VP, Directors and store manager on merchandising and product placement.
Create and build relationships with prospective vendors. Turn over samples to the President and VP for discussion on new products.
Continue to maintain price integrity on all items in the store.
Continue to work towards a streamlined and standardized back office system of inventory management.

Ability to work a flexible, full-time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
