Technical Support-QA Technician

Outstanding technology company seeks candidate to be responsible for managing the day-to-day technical duties within the quality assurance process for Company products. He/she will collaborate with the Order fulfilment team to ensure Company products meet all requirements prior to customer acceptance. The Quality Assurance Technician will also assist the Tech Support team on any questions/issues related to the design/setup/build of existing devices supported on the field.

The Quality Assurance Technician is primarily responsible for Quality Control (QC) final Test.

Responsibilities:

This is an entry level position, working under significant supervision. The candidate will be tasked with QC test procedures to be performed at the last stage of manufacturing/assembly process. This position requires the ability to quickly absorb and use information about product design of an electro-mechanical nature driven by web-based software as well as installed on the device. The candidate will also be required to interact with different departments in the company such as Manufacturing, Operations, and Tech Support.

Duties:

- QC Test:

o Perform all aspects of functional testing.

o Simulate the end user customer operation.

o Follow detailed test procedures.

o Verify compliance to specification.

o Enter quality data into internal systems.

o Identify and report any quality issues.

o Inspect and confirm devices are built per configuration and per sales order information.

o Maintain and support testing units for manufacturing.

- Tech Support resource:

o Gain enough knowledge regarding product use with which to familiarize how Company devices are used.

o Gain enough knowledge regarding product installation and site training with which to serve as a resource for technical issues.

o Serve as a point of contact for part number inquiries and replacement options.

o Ensure that the Company product is meeting the customer needs.

Requirements and Experience:

" Minimum of 1 year of previous experience in a QA/test role environment.

" Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

" Possess strong customer service skills and be service minded.

" Professional demeanor to solve routine problems.

" Proficient in the use of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

" Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

" Be self-motivated, willing to learn and grow.
