Instrument processingPerformance Criteria:Disassembles multipart instrumentsSeparates heavy and delicate instrumentsProperly cares for powered, lensed and special instruments/ equipmentInspects instruments/instrument trays for broken, damaged or missing instrumentsReassembles trays, protecting sharp/delicate/heavy instruments, checks for cleanlinessLabels trays according to type, includes count sheets with traysProperly loads and operates washer sterilizer, sonic cleaners, steam, plasma, parasitic acid and other sterilizing equipment'Demonstrates knowledge of SPD equipment, assists users with concerns or questions.Properly quarantine implantables until biological monitors are reviewed.Evaluation Method(s):Observation, Quality Monitoring Documentation Review.
