Description Robert Half is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join an established organization. If you enjoy reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and improving processes, this role is designed for you. Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and sub-ledgers.
Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and account analysis.
Collaborate with external auditors by providing necessary documentation and schedules during audits.
Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis projects.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant accounting standards.
Assist with ad hoc financial reporting requests and special projects as needed.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. CPA designation (or working toward it) is a plus.
Minimum of 1-2 years of accounting experience, preferably in general ledger accounting or financial reporting.
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and financial statement preparation.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, QuickBooks).
Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
