This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a thriving company and make an immediate impact.Position Overview: As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and possess a strong understanding of payroll procedures and best practices.Key Responsibilities:
Accurately process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salaried, hourly, and temporary staff.
Maintain and update payroll records, including employee information, time and attendance, and payroll deductions.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve any discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports.
Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 and 1099 preparation.
Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure seamless payroll operations.
Stay current on payroll systems and changes in payroll legislation.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
Strong knowledge of payroll procedures, regulations, and compliance.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
