This is a casual position with an end date of 09/14/2024.JOB SUMMARY:In accordance with established departmental standards, guidelines, and protocols, assists the medical staff in examining and caring for children with eye problems. Performs skilled eye examinations which include, but are not limited to: medical history, age appropriate visual acuity, lensometry, tonometry, orthoptics, and instillation of eye drops. Works with clinical staff to insure efficient clinical flow and excellent clinical environments. Responsible for daily patient care and flow of clinic activities.MINIMUM QULIFICATIONS:H.S. Diploma, GED, or Equivalent1 Year of ExperienceThe ability to multi-taskKnowledge of PC functionalityStrong interpersonal skillsDisplays consistent professionalism.1 year of experience as an Ophthalmic Assistant or equivalent, working clinically in the back-office settingPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associate's DegreeOphthalmic Assistant Certification (JCAHPO)Previous experience, certification or training on this or similar position is strongly preferred.The current salary range for this position is $24.28 to $36.04A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
