Description Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to join a well-established law firm in downtown San Diego on a contract-to-hire basis. This role focuses on processing legal billing, managing collections, handling eBilling systems, editing and finalizing prebills, and electronically invoicing clients. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in billing operations, preferably within legal or medical billing environments.Responsibilities:
Process legal billing for multiple attorneys accurately and timely.
Manage collections, ensuring timely payments and addressing overdue accounts.
Operate and manage electronic billing systems effectively.
Edit and finalize prebills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with attorney adjustments.
Electronically invoice clients and manage accounts receivable.
Address and resolve billing-related questions and inquiries from clients and attorneys.
Perform detailed fee and cost calculations as required.
Collaborate with finance department to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
2+ years of experience in billing, specifically with eBilling systems; experience in legal or medical billing highly preferred.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
