Description Robert Half is hiring Billing Specialists for contract and contract-to-hire roles starting ASAP! The Billing Specialist will be responsible for accurately and efficiently processing client invoices and ensuring timely payments. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of direct experience in billing, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.Responsibilities:
Prepare and process client invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Review contracts, purchase orders, and service agreements to ensure billing accuracy
Verify billing information, including rates, fees, and discounts
Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure accurate invoicing
Respond to client inquiries regarding invoices, billing statements, and payment terms
Monitor accounts receivable aging reports and follow up on overdue payments
Maintain detailed records of billing activities and client communications
Assist with month-end closing activities and provide support for audit requests
Collaborate with the finance team to streamline billing processes and improve efficiency
Requirements
1-3 years of direct experience in billing or related field
High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Experience with billing software or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team
