Job Title: Loan Officer Assistant / Technical Coordinator

Contract Type: Contract-based

Compensation: $250-$500 per loan file; $450 per real estate transaction

We are seeking a detail-oriented mortgage professional with experience in originating or processing conventional and government loans and Real Estate Technical Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and track new leads, follow-up on referrals, and handle referral business.

Engage directly with borrowers, including meetings as requested by Loan Officers.

Handle loan setups, including completing Fannie Mae Form 1003 .

Perform credit checks, prequalify clients, discuss loan terms/rates/options, and issue pre-approval letters.

Liaise with borrowers and realtors to obtain necessary documentation and conditions.

Calculate income and operate loan processing software such as DU/LP/GUS.

Conduct initial borrower meetings to sign Loan Applications and Disclosures.

Facilitate communication handoffs at various stages of the loan process.

What You Bring to the Team:

At least 2 years of recent experience in mortgage lending, preferably processing.

Knowledge of loan program guidelines including conventional, jumbo, and government loan programs.

Proficiency in DU/LP/GUS or other major Loan Origination Systems.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for creative problem-solving.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Professional demeanor with a strong sense of urgency and responsiveness.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

NMLS certification preferred.

Proven experience in loan processing and familiarity with Fair Housing Regulations.

Work Schedule:

This CONTRACT POSITION PAID PER EACH FILED CLOSED.

Closing potential of closing 5-10 files + per month

Location: In person work with optional work from home once trained, located in Chula Vista, CA 91914.

Language Requirements: Proficiency in Spanish is required.
