Responsibilities:
As a Fleet Diesel Mechanic, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs on trucks and trailers.
- Conducting DOT inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Changing tires, performing oil changes, and replacing brakes as needed.
- Diagnosing and performing engine work to resolve issues efficiently.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Collaborating with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks.
- Assisting in emergency repairs when needed.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a fleet mechanic.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and related systems.
- Proficiency in performing DOT inspections.
- Ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical issues.
- Experience with tire changes, oil changes, and brake changes.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
