Compensation:$28/HR (In-Shop), $32/HR (Roadside /Afterhours / Weekends)
Schedule:30 HRS Part-Time including Weekends, Afterhours for Shop or Roadside - will go into Full-Time and Higher Pay

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Truck Repair Technician to join our small yet dynamictruck repair shop, fleet management, and roadside repair business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diagnosing and repairing heavy duty trucks, trailers, and equipment. If you have a passion for working on a variety of systems, from brakes to transmissions, and possess the ability to troubleshoot and use diagnostic tools effectively, we want to hear from you.
Primary Responsibilities:
Utilize diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods to identify and repair issues in heavy duty trucks, trailers, and equipment.
Perform troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and maintenance of most truck and trailer components, including but not limited to tires, brakes, DEF/DPF system components, Fuel System, Transmission, Differential, Steering, Air, Coolant, Oil, Electrical, ABS systems, All Modules - most everything.
Roadside Repair - ability to service and repair vehicles on the road with the use of service trucks and tools.
Conduct thorough inspections and assessments to determine the root cause of mechanical problems and develop effective repair plans.
Diagnose and repair electrical issues by troubleshooting and installing components such as sensors, modules, and wiring across the entire truck mechanism.
Ensure the proper functioning of the DEF/DPF system and address any issues related to emissions control.
Ability to perform BIT and DOT inspections of Trucks and Trailers.
Keen eye to details to observe and report all and additional issues on heavy vehicles.
Ability to deal with fleet customers in a professional and patient manner.
Complete routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks.
Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards while performing repairs and installations.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
HARD SKILLS REQUIRED
Proven experience as a Heavy Duty Truck Repair Technician or a related field.
Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and troubleshooting methods.
Extensive knowledge of heavy duty truck systems, including brakes, transmissions, differentials, steering, and various fluid systems.
Experience with the installation and maintenance of components in the all Heavy Duty and Trailer systems listed above including all modules, sensors, engine, transmission, differential, and other systems and components.
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills and the ability to work with sensors, modules, and wiring.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality repairs.
Ability to perform BIT and DOT inspections of Trucks and Trailers.
