Job Summary:
As an Apprentice Auto Body Technician at Kniesel's Collision, you will begin your career in the automotive repair industry under the guidance of our experienced technicians. This position is perfect for individuals with a passion for automotive work and a desire to learn through hands-on experience.
Responsibilities Include:
Complete disassembly and assessment of vehicle to assist Account Managers in determining damage to prepare an accurate repair plan.
Ability to effectively communicate with Account Managers and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.
Plan work procedure and follow work orders for all operations listed.
Closely follow Kniesel’s QC SOP to ensure the highest standard of quality.
Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces, using power tools and hand tools.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations that affect the collision center’s operations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA guidelines, etc.
Perform other related duties as assigned relating to, but not limited to assisting other team members, washing cars, cleaning the shop, etc.
Skills/Requirements:

Fluent in reading and understanding English.
Minimum age requirement of 18 years.
Possession of a valid California driver's license.
Proficient in managing multiple tasks and thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction.
Capable of comprehending written instructions on estimates, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Physical ability to lift and maneuver objects up to 20 pounds.
Maintains a professional and well-groomed appearance at all times.
