Position: Auto Body Technician
Location: iCrash Collision, A Kniesel’s Company, 3725 Cincinnati Ave., Suite 200, Rocklin, CA
Job Summary: iCrash Collision is seeking a dedicated and skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team. We’re open to candidates at various levels of experience, from apprentices with some hands-on exposure to seasoned journeymen technicians. The successful candidate will have a passion for high-quality repairs, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service. This role is integral in restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition, ensuring the highest standards in safety and craftsmanship.
Core Responsibilities:
Complete disassembly and assessment of vehicle to assist Account Managers in determining damage to prepare an accurate repair plan.
Ability to effectively communicate with Account Managers and Parts Associates to obtain necessary parts.
Plan work procedure and follow work order for all operations listed. Closely follow Kniesel’s QC SOP to ensure the highest standard of quality.
Ensure all needed repairs are identified to eliminate supplements and minimize repair time.
Remove necessary parts, equipment, and materials to gain access to repair vehicle damages.
Properly store parts to eliminate further damage and prevent loss.
Repair or replace defective parts.
Files, grinds, and sands repaired surfaces using power tools and hand tools.
Inspect and test drive repaired vehicles to check for safety and quality standards compliance.
Comply with Kniesel’s Collision Core Values, guidelines, and standards.
Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations that affect the collision center’s operations, such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA guidelines.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including cleaning the shop, assisting other teammates, and providing leadership to body tech apprentices.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a body technician in a collision repair environment.
Proficiency in the use of industry-standard tools and equipment, including welders, frame machines, and hand tools.
Strong knowledge of repair techniques, bodywork, and alignment methods.
I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus.
Ability to read and follow repair plans, damage reports, and manufacturer specifications.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality repairs.
A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Physical ability to stand, bend, and work in various positions for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
