Technical Production Assembler

A Technical Production Assembler is responsible for safely operating and maintaining a clean work area in the automated or regular production area. The job is responsible for operating automated equipment or industrial presses and producing parts that meet the quality standards. The production assembler may assist in other factory areas as needed.

Role and Responsibilities

Adheres to all safety, quality, and productivity guidelines in the manufacturing of the products and handling of materials in the factory.

Report issues or problems with equipment to supervisor immediately.

Inspects and starts machinery at the beginning of shift.

Monitors equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.

Makes sure that workstation is clean and free of hazards.

Confirms product meets quality document standards and removes faulty product from the assembly line.

Package and box product for transfer to shipping department.

Load or unload raw material and finished product from the machines.

Maintain organization and stock levels.

Skills and Experience

Minimum Requirements

Due to state requirements, employees utilizing heavy equipment machinery must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or GED

Capable of lifting 30-50lbs.

Standing for most of an 8-hour shift.

Adhere to wearing safety gear (safety glasses, gloves, long sleeves or arm protectors, close toed shoes, full length pants) at all times in production areas.

Willing to work in an environment with minimal heating or cooling year-round.

A successful candidate will have the following skillsets:

Ability to read and interpret production drawings and specifications.

Ability to read equipment gauges and monitors on factory floor.

Works efficiently and manages time effectively.

Previous experience with automated equipment, 6 months preferred.

Previous experience with production or heavy equipment a plus.

Previous forklift certification is a plus.

The role is for a standard 40-hour work week. Overtime may be made available by management or deemed mandatory as necessary.
