Human Bees serves as the employer of record and takes care of all the administrative tasks associated with employment, such as payroll and benefits. Temp-to-hire workers are employees of Human Bees, called Human Bees Associates. Human Bees Associates have the potential to become permanent employees with the client, if they meet certain criteria, training and performance standards while performing job responsibilities for the client as a Human Bees Associate. These factors can include job performance, attendance, willingness to learn, attitude and completion of contractual requirements regarding the Human Bees Associate that are made between Human Bees and the client. Permanent hire employment with the client is not guaranteed. While employed for Human Bees, Human Bees Associates work as a Production Builder at our client’s facility, in the production department. The Production Builder is an At-Will position and assignment with the client can end at any time, with or without notice, by the client or the Human Bees Associate.

As a Production Builder/Medical Device Assembler, you will be part of a dynamic team helping make products that save lives every day. You'll work in a clean-room laboratory environment, where your main responsibility will be the assembly of medical devices following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines.

PAY

$18.00 – 19.80 an hour / 10% Differential for Swing Shift. Individual compensation will vary over time based on factors such as performance, skill level, competencies, work location and shift.

REPORTING

Human Bees Associate’s - Production Builder assigned to Penumbra Inc.- Roseville, CA reports to the Production Supervisor. Production Supervisors may or may not be employees of the client or Human Bees.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND JOB DUTIES

Punctuality and regular attendance

Assemble medical devices according to Federal QSR, ISO 13485, lot history records, manufacturing instructions, standard operating procedures, and safety policies.

Perform in-process inspection of components and assemblies to verify quality conformance.

Record information on lot history records and perform component accountabilities.

Set-up and operate manufacturing equipment.

Maintain clean room standards, practices, and housekeeping according to standard operating procedures and the illness and injury prevention program.

Clean supplies and manufacturing equipment and work areas.

Reports causes of process and/or documentation issues and assists in resolution.

Responsible for completion of personal training records.

Adhere to the Company's Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures.

Understands relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adheres to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company.

Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures.

Perform other work-related duties as assigned.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum education: High School or equivalent.

Minimum experience: Minimum 1-year clean room assembly experience or manufacturing.

Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical or biotech industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience required to perform at this level.

Basic math skills and ability to read and interpret measurements.

Basic Working knowledge of cGMP/QSR requirements.

Able to use tools such as microscope, soldering iron, tweezers, and other hand-held tools.

Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment.

Able to pay close attention to detail.

An interest in health care and/or manufacturing, and the desire to learn something new every day.

Ability to be aware of the surroundings and maintain a safe working space.

Good communication skills and ability to report issues to supervisors.

Knowledge of safety procedures and ability to follow them.

The ability to actively participate in a teamwork environment that maintains a high-performance culture.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

Frequent Microscope use

Production Builders are Gowned in (PPE) Personal Protective Equipment and work in a class 10,000 clean room.

Requires some lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds.

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, pull, grasp, and reach with hands and arms.

Frequent computer use.

Prolonged sitting or standing.

Hand-eye coordination and dexterity to adjust controls quickly, accurately, and repeatedly.

Repetitive motions, frequent and regular movements using the wrists, hands, and fingers.

Reasonable ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to interpret instructions.

Fluency in English, bilingual welcome. Demonstrated excellence in writing and editing.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to read, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus to accurately distinguish details.
