Pre-Press Operator
Description
This position takes customer supplied art and prepares it for litho printing processes. The images are used to create high end packing in both the folding carton area and litho laminated corrugated.
Essential Functions
Review job ticket instructions to determine requirements of job production.
Trap files using RIP software and / or Adobe application’s.
Generate proofs per company SOP’s.
Recreate needed artwork and logo’s.
Imposition for digital plating
QC all work performed following department SOP’s.
Perform technical troubleshooting.
Generate litho plates
Requirements
Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift
Packaging experience a plus
A minimum of two years’ experience in pre-press
(Prepress, Manufacturing, Printing, Mac, Quark, Esko, Adobe CS, Prepress Operator, Printing Plates)
