Responsibilities:
Prepare and operate CNC Router to perform tasks
Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate parts
Supervise the machine while it executes the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
Inspect and measure finished products to determine if they meet specifications
Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
Maintain cleanliness of work area
Receive and process work orders
Work as a liaison between machine shop, production, and admin to coordinate work order flow
Maintain tool and material inventory for machine shop
Perform shop administrative tasks including paperwork, talking with vendors and service personnel
When time permits, assist in other areas of machine shop production
Qualifications:
Prior experience with CNC Router, tooling, and precision measurement tools desired but not required.
We are willing to train the right candidate
Ability to program the CNC router, a plus but not required.
Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
Must have attention to detail and be able to self-inspect quality of work
Prior experience with VCarve Pro or similar type software a plus
Able to communicate in English verbally and in writing
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred
Strong work ethic
Physical Requirements:
Lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis
Sitting and standing for prolonged periods
Repetitive hand movement
