We’re a small, very real, very busy law firm that primarily handles real estate and civil litigation. Our office is casual , our clients are interesting, and our days are never boring. We’re looking for another brain to join the chaos—a part-time associate or contract attorney who actually enjoys legal research, writing solid motions, and doesn't hate discovery.
You might love this gig if you:
Take pride in your writing and actually like the research rabbit holes
Are sick of the corporate law grind and want flexibility and autonomy
Think clear, well-cited arguments are sexy
Are okay working in a bit of organized chaos—we try to keep it together, but it’s not exactly quiet over here
Don’t need handholding but also don’t mind the occasional text that says “Hey, can you read this and make it better?”
What you’ll be doing:
Research, motions, oppositions, complaints, contract review
Helping untangle real estate messes, contract disputes, property disputes, business breakups, and other fun things
Drafting winning pleadings
Occasional remote court appearances
Collaborating via Zoom, phone, or email (or coffee, if you’re nearby)
Requirements:
Licensed in California
Strong in law & motion
Able to hit deadlines and communicate if you’re swamped
Bonus points if you’ve dealt with real estate or business disputes before
No AI templates please—we already have enough of those floating around
Pay:
Tell us your rate—we’re flexible and want it to be worth your time.
Perks:
Work from wherever
Zero dress code
No micromanaging
Real clients, real cases, and a team that actually likes being lawyers (most days)
