Job purpose
The Baker I uses manual and electronic equipment to assist with the manufacturing and packaging of baked goods. The Baker I may execute one or more steps along a production line; including the handling of raw materials, cooked, or finished product.
Duties and responsibilities
Follow company recipes, communicate to supervisor if there are recipe issues
Make dough’s, batters, mixes, fillings to recipe specs
Operate equipment, following safety procedures
Rotate stock, ensuring first in first out
Inventory product and determine customer needs based on PAR levels
Proof product and bake to specified recipe time
Work off of task sheet, communicate to supervisor when issues arise
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
1+ Years of professional working experience
General Labor, Warehouse or assembly experience required
Food Service and/or Manufacturing experience preferred
Good communication skills
Basic Math skills required
Quality and safety minded
Proven reliable and self-motivated
Must be at least 18 years old to operate machinery
Physical requirements
Able to work at a fast pace, on a production line
Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and requested, including, Aprons, Gloves, Hair/Head Cover, Facial Cover, etc.
Ability to work in a team environment and a diverse workforce.
Able push/pull/move 50 lbs. or more, climb a ladder and stand for extended periods of time.
Must be flexible and able to work overtime and weekends
