We are a litigation & trial law firm in Redding, California looking to hire a dynamic on-site Litigation Associate to handle personal injury cases. We provide a competitive salary and benefits, along with a positive and collaborative work environment.
The ideal candidate has strong legal research and writing skills.
The candidate must be interested in growing and learning how to be a better client advocate through writing and oral advocacy. They must bring a proactive and growth-minded approach to our firm and the work we do. Responsibilities
Case workup from inception through trial and appeal, including but not limited to:
Review Medical Records and prepare settlement demands
Prepare pleadings
Conduct written discovery
Draft motions and pre-trial submissions (i.e., venue motions, motions for summary judgment, motions for summary adjudication, and motions in limine)
Conduct depositions
Appear in Court for case management conferences and motion hearings
Assist in trial preparation and other litigation needs
Travel for case related events
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Juris Doctorate
License to practice law in California
Superb writing skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong legal research skills
2-5 years of experience
Compensation
Depending on experience. We also provide an excellent benefit package including health insurance (medical, dental & vision), 401(k), vacation and sick leave.
