Description Are you passionate about GIS systems? If so, please keep reading! I have a client in the private sector looking to hire an experienced GIS Analyst to join their team. This hybrid role will require a few days of on-site work at their Rancho Cordova office, with remote flexibility during the week. The GIS Analyst role offers excellent pay, full benefits, and a CALPERS retirement plan.Key Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day GIS operations within the full GIS enterprise system, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
Ensure the maintenance, testing, and modification of GIS tools for emergency services and dispatch systems.
Collaborate with an external third-party company for knowledge transfer while taking ownership of daily GIS tasks.
Develop and maintain user documentation, operating standards, and procedures for the GIS suite.
Provide GIS system troubleshooting and resolve database or system issues as needed.
Coordinate the administration and maintenance of all GIS layers and ensure the accuracy of geographical data in the CAD system.
Requirements
Experience with GIS enterprise systems, including ArcGIS technologies such as ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online.
Knowledge of SQL databases is highly beneficial.
Strong skills in troubleshooting, digitizing, and automated mapping.
Ability to manage a complex GIS database and geospatial data.
A collaborative, proactive approach, with the ability to work independently in a small, close-knit team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to train others on GIS hardware and software.
