In this job, you will work within the Performance Management & Strategic Initiatives group of Transmission & Distribution (T&D’s) Grid Operations, Operational Strategy, Reliability and Performance Management (OSRPM) team. This team is primarily responsible for enabling operational improvements across Grid Operations. The Advisor will have knowledge of managing project initiative scope and risk, tracking, and reporting on performance of results. Streamline processes to produce more efficiency and make recommendations for process improvements. Also, including, but not limited to performing in-depth analysis and providing consultative advice for on-going company operations or in response to shifting and emerging business strategies. Manage initiatives with varying complexity.

Craft and deliver quality presentations to all levels of management within Grid Operations, including external stakeholders.

Direct and contribute to various projects related to operations, infrastructure, and projects to enhance Grid Operations performance and improve processes and procedures.

Share insight into the creation of business tools enabling efficiencies by streamlining manual processes

Partners with Sr. Specs, Advisors, and Sr. Advisors on the deployment of operational analytics, tools, and processes that support Grid Operations pre-established corporate-level performance goals.

Join forces with peers and/or working teams for the implementation of safety, compliance, benchmarking, continuous improvement, and IT efforts.

Perform impact analysis, and development recommendations that enable stakeholders to make sound decisions.

Collaborate and work cross-functionally with all teams within Grid Operations, T&D, and various SCE organizational units.

Large scale project support as assigned (Grid Management System, Advanced Distribution Management System, and Distributed Energy Resource Management System).

Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

The essentials

Seven or more years of experience in business analysis.

Two or more years of experience improving processes within project management.

Two or more years of experience developing and delivering presentations.

The preferred

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Achieve results, both individually and working with/through others, by prioritizing activities, managing assignment progress, and holding themselves accountable.

Excellent oral and written customer-focused communication skills, with the ability to understand and respond to internal customer needs and create alternative approaches/solutions.

Clearly and succinctly communicate/articulate information to different audiences.

Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Experience interfacing and/or collaborating with clients, peers, and senior/executive leaders.

This position’s work mode is Hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage .
