This role will be critical in overseeing all accounting, tax, treasury, trade reconciliation, and financial reporting functions within our client's organization. The Controller will be involved in fund NAV oversight, annual audits, and the day-to-day management of fund administration services. Responsibilities: Oversee the quarterly NAV and financial statement process, including the reconciliation of trades and positions. Conduct portfolio analysis for closed-end hedge fund type fund structure. Perform management fee calculations, waterfall, and carried interest calculations. Ensure accounting and presentation are consistent with U.S. GAAP and limited partnership agreements. Oversee cash management activities, including maintaining ongoing fund cash projection analysis for potential capital calls and distributions. Prepare quarterly fund reports to investors and ensure timely delivery of quarterly and annual reports. Facilitate with the external tax preparer for partnership tax return filings and assist limited partners with tax planning and compliance related to interests in investment funds. Oversee the fund’s annual audit, coordinating with the fund administrator and auditor. Respond to various investor questions and requests for information. Assist the investment team, investor relations, and compliance team in providing information and data to respond to queries and performing ad hoc analyses based on the fund’s activities.Requirements 10+ years of progressive experience within the hedge fund industry, ideally with a mix of public accounting and time spent in a mid-large firm environment.
