Czar Press is an industry leader in our niche field of letterpress, foil, embossing, and flat printing.
We are looking to find an awesome person, like yourself, to help our clients visions
become a reality. We work with top graphic designers from around the
country to bring to fruition their lavish ideas.
The position is for a PRESS OPERATOR, that knows, or is willing to learn print making on a clam-style press, to create foiled, and embossed paper prints. Our team is a close-knit group of just that type of person. The job is for those looking to work hard, but also want a creative environment to call home. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
⁃ Setting up registration for foiled, and embossing jobs
⁃ Reading estimates to understand what you are printing
⁃ Working with other printers to ensure the job gets completed correctly
Doing press checks with the project coordinators
Being able to look at art proofs to make sure the print is to spec.
Opportunity to cross train and learn die cutting, paper trimming, duplexing, and letterpress.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
A highly positive demeanor, and communication skills are a must!
Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
Extremely organized, and able to act, and follow through on projects independently
Must be able to lift 35 Lbs. or greater, from time to time.
Must be able to climb a step ladder up to 6 ft tall.
Some sort of print experience or training. We can do on the job training, but there has to be some baseline of understanding print, and machines.
Not Required, but a big PLUS:
Print or paper industry background
