EMPLOYMENT STATUS:

Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt (In-person)

THE RUN DOWN:

Czar Press is an industry leader in our niche field of letterpress printing.

We are looking to find an awesome person, like yourself, to help our clients visions

become a reality. Because our motto is “You design it, we print it”, we do very little

design work in-house, but instead we work with top graphic designers from around the

country to bring to fruition their lavish ideas. The position straddles the line between

creative, and administrative. We are excited to meet someone that can think like a

designer, communicate like a leader, and have the business sense of an entrepreneur.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Project Consultant handles inbound quote requests, and consult with clients on

their project via email, phone, or sometimes in-person consultation. They quote projects

according to our quoting matrix, write estimates in QuickBooks, schedule production,

and deliver print ready art files to the production team. Reviewing the project with our

production team when necessary.

Customer Service

⁃ Information gathering, and understanding the scope of the project

⁃ Receiving artwork, and advising on any issues

⁃ Discuss the constraints of project with the client, and advise the client on best

print practices

⁃ Understanding the customers desired outcome, and helping them reach that

goal

Project Management

⁃ Ordering items needed to complete the job. i.e., paper, dies, boxes, foils, inks

etc.

⁃ Scheduling the various aspects of the project with the production team

⁃ Discussing any constraints of the project with the Czar Press team to avoid any

production issues

Estimating

⁃ Offering best options for the customers budget

⁃ Utilizing our quoting matrix to give an accurate, and fair quote to the client

⁃ Use QuickBooks online to create estimates

Pre-Production Artwork

Being able to manipulate files in adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe PDF

⁃ Text outlining, image embedding, adding crop marks, verifying print size,

grouping layers, understanding the Pantone Color system

You will be expected to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in

line with your main duties

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

AA college degree, or equivalent on the job training in the print industry

A highly positive demeanor, great customer service, and communication skills are a

must!

Proficient on apple computers with intermediate understanding of Google Suites

Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.

Extremely organized, and able to act, and follow through on projects independently

Must be able to lift 25 Lbs. or greater, from time to time.

Must be able to climb a step ladder up to 6 ft tall.

Very Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and PDF

Not Required, but a big PLUS:

Prior administrative experience

Print or paper industry background

Proficient in Quickbooks online

Coffee lover! We have an espresso machine in our shop.
