Inside Sales Support Representative

Manufacturer of Life Science Research Products is looking for a team builder.

The Inside Sales Representative, Life Science Research will be responsible for building in-house accounts, supporting distribution channel sales, supporting incoming customer inquiries, and engaging with both tactical and strategic customers. Primary customers include academic institutes, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, Animal Health, R&D, cGMP, medical device, environmental, and research universities/institutions, biotech companies, and all life science research and IVD organizations. Past experience working in customer service positions, tech support, and sales support in life science research companies is strongly desired.

Responsibilities:

Lead tactical customer calls, quote inquiries, product inquiries, and documentation requirements to strengthen business.

Create, manage, and grow customer database

Work with team members to design and implement a practical business plan with strategies to win business and drive growth

Engage directly with customers, distributors, resellers, and end users.

Apply effective sales strategies to proactively seek out sales opportunities

Apply knowledge and understanding of the Company’s operational processes, market position, and competition to identify and qualify leads, prospects, and incoming inquiries that fit our strategic objectives.

Engage with Distributors, OEM, manufacturer reps, Direct Customers, and international sales partners to offer optimal solutions.

Prepare quotes and related documentation to maintain updated customer profile information in the contact management system and database.

Build Web-based sales, increase traffic on the company website, and be a part of the company’s redesign of the site to optimize and capture sales opportunities.

Experience in working with life science distributors strongly favorable

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree Preferred, AA in Life Sciences, Biology, and related field acceptable.

2+ years of sales experience, preferably within a related industry.

Must possess a strong desire to serve the customer, and the interpersonal skills to efficiently engage with various levels of personnel at the customer site.

Strong analytical skills and ability to draw conclusions and observations from market trends and sales data analysis

Solid understanding and proficiency in life sciences and/or the bioprocess industry to be able to serve as a resource for customers

Ability to present information to research & process development scientists, purchasing, and supply chain personnel.
