Duties:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Prepare and draft legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, and correspondence
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Organize and maintain legal files and documents
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court hearings
- Assist with document review and management using Quick Books, Word, Onelegal, GreenFiling, similar software
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and completeness
- Coordinate communication between clients, attorneys, and other parties involved in legal matters
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role, in Civil Litigation, Probate, BK, and Family Law.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish a MUST
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks
- Familiarity with legal administrative processes and procedures
- Ability to CONDUCT legal research using online resources
- Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
