Well established law firm dedicated to representing injured workers in workers compensation cases looking for entry level Associate Attorney to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent law school graduate or an attorney with up to 2 years of experience. Workers' compensation experience is not required, but candidates must have a genuine interest in this area of law. You will be trained under highly knowledgeable attorneys and staff looking to expand the department with young associates who are eager to learn and grow within the practice. Hybrid/Fully Remote opportunities (waiting period applies).
Key responsibilities include:
Representing injured workers in workers' compensation claims.
Managing a caseload of approx. 200 files from intake to settlement.
Attending hearings and depositions before the WCAB
Communicating effectively with Attorneys and Adjusters
Qualifications
JD from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice in California
0-2 years of legal experience preferred
Strong academic records (transcripts required if no workers comp experience)
Interest in pursuing a career in workers compensation law
Workers' Comp legal assistant experience is a plus
Confident, self-directed and eager to learn
Excellent communication, written and organization skills
