Senior VP, Corporate Communications Manager (Pacific Investment Management Company LLC (PIMCO) – Newport Beach, CA); Multiple positions available. Offering a salary of $220,000 to $250,000 per year. Develop and manage PIMCO’s Environmental, Social, Governance (“ESG”) communications strategy, approach and offering in extensive partnership with the Head of Sustainability and Head of Sustainable Development, portfolio management and PIMCO’s Executive Office. Liaise with stakeholders across the firm – executive leadership, portfolio management, account management, product management, marketing, among others – to develop messaging for sustainability and manage internal and external communications and reputation risk, including media relations. Identify opportunities for PIMCO’s thought leadership, products, strategies and other strategic initiatives. Corroborate with the Marketing team in supporting internal IDC brand campaigns. Support both the IDC team and the MD Inclusion & Diversity (“I&D”) Council with managing messaging and communications with the employee resource group. Assist the communications team in developing and implementing a reactive and proactive media relations strategy specifically tailored to increase key media engagement. Aid the coordination of media training for appropriate internal personnel to promote and protect PIMCO’s business and brand image. Serve in a key leadership capacity as the Media Risk Reviewer for all PIMCO external reports covering ESG, Corporate Sustainability and IDC and continuously source ways to both leverage and promote PIMCO’s external partnerships.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Communications, Sociology, or a related field and 5 years of experience in the job offered or in communications. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following: crisis and issues management; communications related to investment management; media engagement; communications strategies; Public Relations; and, executive counsel. Experience may be gained concurrently.
