Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. In this pivotal role, you will manage and expand customer accounts, while also pursuing new business opportunities. The Business Development Account Manager will be responsible for nurturing strong relationships with existing customers, identifying avenues for growth, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the sales process, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to managing customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management:

· Prospect and develop new customer accounts.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customer accounts, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and providing timely responses to customer needs.

· Develop and maintain a deep understanding of each customer’s business needs, challenges, and goals to provide tailored solutions and recommendations.

· Conduct regular check-ins with customers to ensure satisfaction, address concerns, and identify opportunities for growing the account.

· Prepare pricing and quotes for customers and manage the quoting process from start to finish.

· Ability to source and locate various hardware and customer items.

· Review open customer orders to identify which orders can be fulfilled and shipped and that open orders are on track to meet the promised delivery date to the customer.

Customer Support:

· Provide customers with accurate and timely information regarding their quotes, orders, product availability, and delivery schedules.

· Handle any escalations from customers, working to resolve issues in a way that strengthens the customer relationship.

· Follow up with customers via email or phone to address inquiries and resolve issues.

· Handle customer requests for quotes, order status updates, and other support needs.

· Work on resolving "problem parts" issues, including sourcing alternatives to meet customer demands.

Sales Strategy and Growth:

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing accounts to achieve sales growth targets.

· Identify and pursue new business opportunities by locating and engaging new potential accounts to achieve sales growth targets.

Purchasing and Vendor Relations:

· Request quotes from vendors and follow up on vendor communications.

· Collaborate with vendors to resolve any issues related to pricing, delivery schedules, or order accuracy.

Data Management:

· Track customer interactions, sales activities, and follow-up actions to ensure all customer information is current and accessible.

· Analyze sales data to identify trends, track performance, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.

· Enter vendor quotes, sales orders, and other relevant data into the ERP system accurately and in a timely manner.

· Maintain and update customer and vendor records within the ERP system.

· Match order confirmations sent via email from vendors to unconfirmed orders on the server.

Collaboration:

· Work closely with the Vice President of Sales to align account management strategies with overall company goals.

· Partner with the operations and fulfillment teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.

Qualifications:

Education:

· Bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Experience:

· 3+ years of experience in aerospace/wholesale sales, account management, or a related role.

· Proven track record of managing customer relationships and achieving sales targets.

· Experience working with CRM and ERP systems (preferred).

Skills:

· Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to maintain and grow customer accounts.

·Cold Calling

· Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

· Ability to analyze data and develop strategic sales plans.

· Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
